Quick easy wins for female photographers learning video. Video doesn’t have to be difficult, we can all do this, even the editing!
HOW TO AVOID
Shake & blur
We try so hard, it feels so special when we are recording and then we watch it back only to find it’s distractingly shaky and nothing is in focus. I promise there are simple ways to avoid shake and blur in the first place and also options for handling both in post production.
WATCH ME EDIT
a family film
Do you feel you know how to record video but just need to find your feet with putting things together in the video editing software? Watch me edit a short family film from start till end so you can immidiately go and edit your own film.

my approach
I like quick easy wins, I’m not into buying lots of gear and I’m not interested in being a video editor – I am just totally sold on capturing and creating lovely meaningful keep sake films.
There are super simple ways for photographers to move into filming and video. Anyone can learn how to record with the gear they have and anyone can learn to video edit in no time at all.
For your personal use (maybe these are the most important films we make?), for your newborn, baby and family clients, commercial work and marketing materials – there are endless opprtunities for adding video to your photography business.
You can adapt any genre and style of photography into your video work, from the super raw (maybe unedited) documentary through to polished storyboarded films.

GRATEFUL FOR
