Week 2, 29th Jan - Introducing video to your current photography clients
How to gently introduce video into your current clients without selling of pitching. I’m sure they will soon be hooked and all their emails will say “…and can you do some video please”.
Week 3, Feb 3rd - What makes video better and higher value
Not all video is created equally and won’t pay the same. How to make yours that bit more indulgent.
Time for AMA.
Week 4, 12th Feb - Live editing call
This is an exciting one! I’m walking you through Davinci Resolve to reasure you that video editing isn’t scary. You might not be doing much editing at all. I’ll cover how I bulk edit for brand reels, how to put a small promo together, gentle colour tweaking (using what you know from editing stills) and exporting your footage out. You will be unstoppable after this one 😉
Week 5 , 26th Feb - Feedback session
Submit your footage for review and feedback. You might have done something that didn’t come together, we can work out why. This isn’t absout submitting footage to impress, it’s about learning.

QUESTIONS?
Do I need to have any video experience to join?
Not at all. This workshop is designed for photographers who are complete beginners or who’ve might have dabbled but don’t feel confident yet. We start gently, build slowly, and use what you already know from photography as your foundation.
Do I need specific gear?
I’m a firm believer in using what you have, I’m not about gear and teach. There is a short and sweet module about gear and I’ll help you choose only the bare minimum needed – you will be surprised by how little!
Will there be hands-on practice?
Once we have covered gear and settings there will be time to try out the new learnings. You’ll get real, guided practice with your camera, with me right there to help you check settings, troubleshoot, and feel confident. This is where the in-person magic really happens.
Will I be able to make a film by the end?
Yes absolutely. You’ll learn the essentials of recording and editing, so you leave with the skills (and confidence) to put together your first simple, meaningful video. I’ve trained alot of photographers (and even “just” mums) over the years and people go away and create films straight away. You will be able to offer video as a paid extended service to your photography.
Where is this hosted?
All the live calls are via zoom so you don’t need to leave the house but you still get the chance to have real converstions and learn from other photographers at the same stage.
Can I download the online materials?
You will have 12 months access to the online course. The materials are all hosted online so can be watched from anywhere but you will not be able to download them.
