The principles are the same, I’m abot giving you the confidence and clarity to bring movement into your work, whatever yor niche.
Leaning on the skills you already have from photography, we’ll gently add video so you can offer it to your clients without overwhelm.

I have a lovely training room – light and bright and perfect to trying out your first video steps. You can record bits of each other either inside or outside. This is also where my studio is based.

Try out my gear before you go and spend money on something you don’t need. (Spoiler, use what you have already to get going).

QUESTIONS?
Do I need to have any video experience before coming?
Not at all. This workshop is designed for photographers who are complete beginners or who’ve might have dabbled but don’t feel confident yet. We start gently, build slowly, and use what you already know from photography as your foundation.
Do I need to bring gear?
Bring whatever you already own — even if it feels basic or you’re unsure it’s ‘good enough.’ The whole point is to learn with the gear you have, and you’ll also be able to try mine before deciding whether to upgrade or buy anything new. I’m a firm believer in using what we have, I’m not about gear and teach!
Will there be hands-on practice?
Once we have covered gear and settings there will be time to try out the new learnings. You’ll get real, guided practice with your camera, with me right there to help you check settings, troubleshoot, and feel confident. This is where the in-person magic really happens.
Will there be models for port folio building?
No, there are no models for this training. We are focussing on getting the base knowledge in so you can go away and practise. Please see my dedicated portfolio building workshops if you feel this is what you need.
Will I be able to make a video by the end of the day?
Yes absolutely. You’ll learn the essentials of recording and editing, so you leave with the skills (and confidence) to put together your first simple, meaningful video as soon as you’re home. I’ve trained alot of photographers (and even “just” mums) over the years and people go away and create films straight away.

In my Market Harborough training room. The post code is LE16 7DX, really easy to drive to and also really easy on the train, less than 5min walk from the staion and we are on the main midlands line from London.
